Attractive berry aromas and a touch of cinnamon and sweet spice. A full, fruity wine, with excellent body, intense tannins, flavors of cherry, blackberry, boysenberry and plum intermingled with hints of cardamom and pepper, and a long, full finish. 6/22

 

Zinfandel, Steele Catfish Vineyard 2007, California

The small, concentrated berries from this century-old vineyard offer just that, concentrated flavors.  Rich and spicy, but has soft tannins and a long fruit finish.  48

Beautifully layered with raspberry and red cherry fruit, complemented by balanced oak and well-integrated tannins. Pairs well with lamb, grilled salmon, and pork tenderloin. 12/38
